I feel this picture perfectly represents my commute: engrossed in my phone while the train either refuses to move or refuses to let me on.

I took this picture of my neighbor's kitten, Chessie, when she was wearing her Christmas collar. I thought it made her look like a medieval court jester.

I'd like to give credit to the small boy who happened to stand in front of my camera and make it seem like I know how to frame a photo.

This piece was done as an emulation of a photographer named Jerry Uelsmann during our "mentor project" sophomore year. Uelsmann makes his montages using masks and a darkroom, but due to time constraints I used photoshop, and despite this "cheating" still only made three pictures over the course of the project, which greatly increased my respect for what Uelsmann does in his work. Uelsmann is a photographer I had always admired, and I had a lot of fun with the project in trying to make work based off of what he did (but not exact remakes of his pictures).
